What the snapshot tells you
- Single-colour full sets: KSh 3,000 to KSh 8,000 across the menus above.
- Overlays on natural nails: KSh 2,500 to KSh 7,000.
- Refills or infills: KSh 2,500 to KSh 4,000.
- Removal: KSh 500 where listed.
These are six Nairobi sources, not the whole market. We have not found enough published menus in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru or Eldoret to report prices there.
What moves the price
- Service: full set, overlay or infill.
- Length: some menus price short, long and extra long separately.
- Design: art is often priced per nail.
- Salon or mobile: transport may be extra for home visits.
- Removal: taking off an old set is often an add-on.
Watch out for very cheap offers
Low promotional prices exist. Before you book, ask what product is used and how tools are cleaned. The US FDA notes past injuries linked to methyl methacrylate (MMA) monomer in artificial nails. A professional should be able to tell you what they use.
